Bake Sale

We would also like to thank parents for their contribution for the bake sale. Students enjoyed a great variety of savory and sweet treats. We were also able to raise a significant amount for the school.

Clay Figures

Over the last 4-5 weeks PYP 6 students have been learning and improving their sculpting skills. They started off the project by creating a human figure without any knowledge or support. In the following weeks, different techniques and skills were taught and applied to that week's figure. Every week pictures have been taken and students have reflected and commented on how to improve for their next figure. Last week, our Visual Arts Consultant, Mr. Concagh came in to the classroom and taught the last skill, welding. This week students will create their final piece and reflect on the skills they have learnt.

We Are Mathematicians!

Hello to the PYP 6 Community!

Mathematically speaking, we have had a fantastic start to the year! We have introduced a new programme, 100 Maths Lessons, which is directly linked to the British National Curriculum objectives. This is an excellent way to give progression to our students' Maths development, where each objective builds on previous knowledge and allows students to more easily progress and extend their learning.

Some of the main areas we will be exploring in Unit 1 are:

• Place value of four-digit numbers
• Rounding four-digit numbers to the nearest 10 and 100
• 9-times table facts
• Converting between metric units of measure
