Last week PYP 6 students in Jd Europa had the amazing opportunity to hear 2 immigration stories from students' relatives.

Layla's grandfather, Mr. De La Lastra, shared his life story of war in Spain as a child and deciding to come to Brazil for the opportunity growing his hair salon business.

Natasha and Yasmin's father, Mr. Melnik, came and told the story of their grandpa, Majer, and his journey through Europe, Russia and the Middle East to escape the Nazis. Unable to find good work in the post war rubble, Majer journeyed to Brazil to start a new life.
